Drop Off Times

There will be someone on call at all times to check-in deer. And the hours someone will be in the shop for drop-offs are as follows:

Monday 9:00am - 7:00pm
Tuesday 5:30pm - 9:00pm
Wednesday 5:30pm - 9:00pm
Thursday 9:00am - 7:00pm
Friday 5:30pm - 9:00pm
Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Big Buck Contest

Two Contest Classes: Archery and Firearm

All harvested game animals must comply with State and Federal Games Laws.

The deer must be brought in with the intentions of doing a shoulder mount with it. We are not scoring deer on the spot when they are brought in, nor will we let anyone know what the biggest deer brought in has been. The deer will be checked in by the secretary and scored by the taxidermist after it is checked in and properly skinned and preserved. The winner will be announced after the end of the season and the winner will receive a gift certificate for the amount of a regular shoulder mount.

($500.00 for regular shoulder mounts)

The deer must be brought in by the person that harvested it, along with a proper hunting license, proper permits, a harvest photo, and the 50% deposit for the shoulder mount of your choice.

Any buck harvested with legal firearm or archery equipment will qualify. Contest is not limited to just Illinois bucks Missouri, Kentucky, Kansas, and bucks from any other state are welcome to be entered. All of the deer will be scored by the taxidermist and the top three from each class will be scored by an official scorer. The gross score will be used to determine the biggest bucks in each class.

Award winning master taxidermist Ben and Megan Julian have received a 2nd Place Red Ribbon in the masters division at the 2009 Illinois Taxidermy Association Competition & Convention with a life size cinnamon Black Bear, along with many other awards. They also won a 2nd Place Red Ribbon in the professional division at the 2009 World Taxidermy Competition & Convention with the same bear.

I am now taking in Gamehead & Life size mounts, Rug work, Skull Cleaning, Turkeys, and Tanning. I will also be doing some custom Antler Decor on request. Julian Taxidermy is state licensed, insured, and has a top of the line security system to ensure your trophies will be safe while at our shop.
